Alfredo Bini is a researcher, entrepreneur, and former photojournalist. 

His study of water issues stems from his award-winning photojournalistic investigations and his experience in the fields of finance and economics. 

He conceptualized and co-designed the framework providing the first global assessment of the economic value generated by irrigation water — both with current crop distribution and with crops maximizing the value of water.

He investigates the financial world’s response to investment opportunities concerning water as a visiting scholar in the Department of Environmental Science Policy and Management at U.C. Berkeley.
